Megan O’Brien, Founder, Creative Genius

Megan is an award-winning brand strategist and creative director/designer with proven leadership skills and more than 25 years of experience. Megan has conceptualized and designed brand strategies and creative campaigns for regional, national and international organizations.

After spending 9+ years at a public relations agency where she started and built the graphic design division, Megan founded Visual Ingenuity, LLC in 2008. She prides herself on using her talents, skills and experience to guide Clients through complex branding challenges and help them tell their stories. 

Megan is an enthusiastic and energetic professional dedicated to creative problem-solving, an undaunted specialist committed to developing the best branding and marketing solutions. She is a brand strategist with proven leadership and facilitation skills to develop memorable brands and was part of a team that received top five national recognition for a Fortune 500 company’s product launch. 

Some of her clients have included:  American Express Business Travel, BHR Worldwide, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation, Christian Hospital Foundation, Entertainment Cruise Productions, Jazz Cruises, Generation America, Protective, SchoolTube, Shoeman Water Projects, StarVista LIVE, and St. Louis University.

Megan was a US delegate to the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit in 2010 in Toronto, Canada and 2011 in Nice, France, served on the Board of Trustees of St. Patrick Center and the 2011-2012 Chair of the Young Friends of St. Patrick Center. She currently serves as Vice President of the Patriot Training Foundation, a Flight Leader for Greater St. Louis Honor Flight and received the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2022. She was part of the planning committee for Flags of Valor STL 2016 and 2021.  Her credits also include associate producer for a short film accepted to the Short Film Corner at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Lori Gutleber, Creative Genius

Lori is a passionate, talented and versatile graphic designer with more than 20 years of experience providing creative vision to implement designs from concept to completion. She is a strategic and creative thinker who works well collaborating with clients to develop design materials that clearly communicate messages.

Her strengths include design for brand identity, packaging, direct mail, print and digital advertising, marketing campaigns, display/signage, social media and web design. Part of her experience includes several years in designing publications for Missouri State University and then later in her career for Maryville University as a freelance graphic designer.

Most recently her experience has included designing print and web graphics for Visual Ingenuity with particular focus on travel and tourism Clients – namely developing design materials that are customized for individually themed cruises to create unique, interactive experiences. Lori keeps a keen eye on market trends and thrives in a fast-paced environment with Clients.

 

Marisa Adair, Brand Strategist and Account Manager

Marisa is a project manager who has over over 20+ years of marketing and project management experience. Before working with Visual Ingenuity, Marisa was the director of marketing for an online e-commerce organization which generated over $10M in sales annually. Marisa is a seasoned professional who is able to understand the needs and wants of her clients and transform them into ideas on paper, print, or online.  Marisa has digital and traditional marketing experience and has worked with a variety of different organizations including traditional, non-profit, start up, faith based, and more. Marisa is currently in her 3rd year on the PTO board of her children’s elementary public school as the VP of Communications. 

For the past 7 years Marisa has been a marketing consultant and contractor managing up to 10 clients at a time. Prior to that she was the Director of Marketing for an online sales company which averaged $10-12 million in sales a year. She has created and built numerous websites (for profit and non-profit), some that are basic in nature and some that are very robust with regards to back end financing, sales, inventory and coding challenges. She has used custom built software in addition to a variety of CRMs. She has managed full scale marketing campaigns with regards to SEO, digital advertising, video creation, social media, email marketing, traditional marketing, logo design, and more. Her experience also includes management of full scale communication campaigns and rollouts for large scale churches with regards to weekly services, online digital content, multiple campus signage and messaging, outreach programs, social media campaigns. 

Erin O’Brien, Copywriter and Editor

Erin brings more than 22 years of professional writing experience and brand development to the Visual Ingenuity team. With a journalism background, her coverage has spanned a range of subject matters including but not limited to consumer issues, the federal grants industry, local news stories and interior design. Tasked with a hard-hitting news piece, feature story or marketing copy, Erin approaches every assignment intent on communicating the story, product or message intelligently and accurately.

Her writing has appeared in newspapers, advertisements, websites, magazines, newsletters and brochures targeting national and local audiences.

 

 

 

Hillary, Brand Strategy Associate

Hillary, an account manager and strategist with Visual Ingenuity, LLC since 2011, is a seasoned marketer with more than 25 years of experience in account management, marketing research and consulting. She is a brand marketer with a specialty in translating consumer feedback into optimized, precise and compelling communication.

Previously, Hillary co-founded CenterBrain, Inc., a new product communication consulting company that developed brand positioning for new products totaling over $1 billion in sales over 10 years. Hillary’s key roles include Director of Research and Account Planning, as well as Lead Moderator.

Hillary uses her marketing background, facilitation skills, and account leadership experience to keep projects on strategy, on time and on budget. She recently served as account manager for a full-service email marketing company, managing their largest client. This entailed managing the template development, copy optimization, design, and production of email assignments. In addition, she managed the Email Marketing System for email list management and final delivery.

She served as project leader for Medtronic’s Museum of Modern Spinal Surgery, a $4 million state-of-the-art training facility. Project included managing advertising agency creative team, developing exhibit narratives, and interviewing industry pioneers and key opinion leaders.

She had early career success in traditional sales and marketing roles for Kimberly-Clark’s Consumer Products Division and her experience includes work with the following clients: Medtronic, Abbott Labs, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Chattem Labs, H.J. Heinz, Minute Maid, Chiquita, Land-O-Lakes, Star-Kist Seafood, Reynolds, Victoria’s Secret, Fruit of the Loom and Skil-Bosch.
